Non-Slam Axial Flow Check Valves
Axial Flow Check Valves are valves used to automatically prevent the reverse flow of media in a pipeline, using an internal spring as an actuator. Axial Flow Check Valves provide ‘Non-Slam’, millisecond response to flow reversal, greatly reducing pressure spikes developed from ‘Water-Hammer’ effect when compared to other types of check valves.

The valve body is made using a single piece casting whose internal geometry generates a venturi effect. Being a solid piece, fugitive emissions from body joints are eliminated.
The disc’s linear motion is supported by guide rails that are hard faced using bronze and precisely machined to provide reliable, jamming-free operation of the valve for its usable life.
The disc profile is designed to minimize inertia and maximize flow area, improving the valve’s dynamic response.
Axial Flow Check valves are designed to respond in milliseconds to reversal of media flow. Rapid response times greatly reduce pressure surges developed compared to other check valves and minimize chances of damage to piping, pumps, surrounding environment and people.
The valve is offered with multiple seat material options, depending on nature of line media and requirement of fire safety. Soft seated valves are provided with a replaceable P.T.F.E seat ring. Metal seated valves are provided with a weld overlay of the appropriate material, which is precisely machined to generate the necessary sealing geometry.
